Jacob - TS3 - Ice Cream

Just thought I'd toss up a link to some of the pictures I've taken in the last couple of days. These pics contain TS3 versions of James, Markus, Tristan, Emily, Jacob, Gelydh, and Aikea-Sim.

Gelydh and I are finding this game to be like crack.

TS3 - Aikea Sim
The fat sims are seriously amazing. When you make sims fat, their faces get fat as well.

Honestly, TS3 seems less system-intensive than TS2 for some reason. We have it set up on our laptop (bought just before xmas) as well as my desktop, and it works/looks fine even though the lt has zero bonus graphics.

These were very amusing. Out of curiosity, do you choose their outfits, or do they randomly dress in something different all the time? I am completely in love with the bunny slippers. Even if they are kind of creepy and watching you. While you sleep.

It sounds like the game is growing on you. :)

TS3 - Bunny Slipper
Jacob randomly chooses his outfits through out the day, but only between everyday/formal/workout/etc. Thing is, when you choose to play a different household, sims you visit/run into seem to always be dressed in their work clothes. And omg the bunny slippers are soooooo cute! I made Tristan some angsty black ones.

The game really did grow on me, and rather quickly once I was able to start getting the sims to not look wretched (well, at least I like how my sims look). The gameplay and such has kept me amused in much the same way that TS2 did back in the day.

I saw the emo bunny slippers and they made me laugh too. I was just on the way out the door and couldn't comment.

I'm almost afraid to give the game a try. I've got too much I still want to accomplish with Sims2 and I'm afraid the new game will suck me in and not let me go.

Do you think custom skins and clothing meshes will be viable eventually? I'm also curious about custom hair meshes, since that's such a HUGE thing in Sims2. I think I'm most curious to see what the cc creators out there do. I know people won't be satisfied with just recolors forever.

TS3 - Sea Monster
Ahhh, see... I haven't actually played TS2 since 2005, so I was ready to move on as far as game-play goes. It's addictive, for sure.

I'm sure CC will definitely be available eventually! Even if all you can have is a singular default replacement skin, for instance, I'm sure it'll be cracked.

Yeah, still not likeg the actual Sims themselves. Don't get me wrong- you've done a beautiful job, but they just remind me way too much of playdoh or silly putty that's ben rubbed over the newspaper comincs.}:/

The scenary though, is outstanding.

I didn't like the sims at first, either, but once I sat down and played the game, they really grew on me. They actually fit quite well into the surroundings.

Plus, I don't think my sims are at all like playdoh.

I think I'm just spoiled on custom skins in Sims2, so the default game skins in Sims3 look ...off, to me. I think once more CC is made for sims3, it'll start growing on me as well.
