Honestly, it wasn't so much comments left on our creations, but the negativity spewed out to others. That's what annoyed us to the point of requesting them not to post our updates. We were pretty good at not reading comments on our own creations, but every now and then we'd read them on something else, and were disgusted by what we saw: petty, personal attacks that had nothing to do with the creation that had been posted; nitpicking about the tiniest details; complaining about the sims modeling an item, rather than the actual item. You've seen it, so you know what I'm talking about. :)

I hope you can figure out what's wrong with your game! It's fun enough on its own, but there are a few pieces I need to really enjoy it.
