SG1 - O'Neill D'oh

Oh yes, it did indeed just come to that.

I don't know how it'll be for anyone else, but the newest patch made my game completely unplayable; it wouldn't even launch. (Probably because I left in my nocd hack) (And yes, I have retail versions of both the base game and WA, but my only dvdrom is an external unit, which is a pain in my ass to deal with.) Given what I've seen other people having happen with their CC (both .package files and .sims3packs alike) (sims3packs are fucked up), I'd avoid patching if at all possible.

Also, the CAW tool seemed to be rather lacking. They've released the guide, which would have been useful to say the least.

Off to reinstall while I wait for Pescado to eat another part of my soul. :P

My launcher is bugged as well. Any CC that I was thinking of uninstalling via launcher is stuck there forever I guess the way it's acting.

Messing with the game itself, shop mode annoys me. My game and EP are legit, but not all my content is. At least Pescado has figured out how to restore the missing sims3packs.. I hadn't heard that it was causing package problems again though. Figures. Every patch seems to break more of the game. Sorof like trying to darn a sock with an energetic in your lap I guess.

And the CAW tool is way over my head. I had such a nice idea for a tiny town too. :(

I think I may have misread something about the .package files; I thought someone said that none of their CC was showing up. It's a for-sure fact that sims3packs are broken, though it looks like Pescado's already got a fix for that.

I've finally finishing reinstalling. Fun. Though considerably less annoying than reinstalling TS2+expansions.

You know, when I saw that there was a new patch I said to myself, "Self, perhaps you should wait a bit before patching..."

Well, at least I know I was right. I'm not usually one to complain, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Plus, I'm a little bothered by this "in-game store" thing. I mean, I'm all for a company being able to make a profit, but this just seems too much.

Screw it. I think I'll just go play the most violent video game I own. I've felt like smacking something all day, anyway.

The Shining - Seen This Coming
I said the same thing, but the shiny of CAW won out. :/

Holy shit, don't get me started on the 'in-game store' crap! Getting rid of that part of the patch was worth the un/re-install. (Not that my game was running for me to see it in the first place...)

I wish I had a violent video game I could play. First person shooters make me sick, and all our fighting games are scary-old.

Shiny things often suck me in. But, oh, I just thought of something - it's going to be hilarious to see what some of the TS3 Exchangelander kids do with CAW - oh, the messes they'll make. Should be some good fun.

I think I'm in the mood for some old-school Resident Evil 2 mayhem. Get shotgun, aim up, blow zombie head into chunks. Repeat. Of course, there's also Devil May Cry. Violence, plus Dante = tasty.

TS3 - Aikea Distressed
Oh man... now I'm looking forward to seeing monstrocities!

I totally got sucked into reading your story, so now I don't need a violent game! (And I completely forgot I own DMC and beat it ages ago... that'd be a good one to fall back on when I need to kill things.)

My game is totally unplayable after installing this recent patch. To be completely accurate, it was pretty buggy since installing WA, so I don't care anymore. Not playing this game means only that I have more time for playing (and enjoying) TS2.

TS3 - Jacob EL Art
Mine's been fine aside from a minor issue with some CC that caused my game to run like it was in a coma, but that was quickly and easily fixed up. Thankfully this reinstall meant I'm basically rolled back to where I was before this clusterfuck of a patch.

I feel your pain! I had to reinstall after the last patch. This patch broke my S3Ps, but I converted them all to packages and now they work again. Hope you get your game working ok again!

TS3 - Aikea - China Sparkle
So far so good! The only thing is I forgot to backup my legit store items, so I keep coming across missing things, and I don't remember I need to snag them again after shutting the game down. I knew I should have waited a bit before jumping into any patch.

I'm so happy to know the issue with uninstalling through the installer is a patch issue and not just a "my sims 3 hates me" issue.

CAW.. I *so* wanted to recreate the Silent Hill map. Don't see it happening.

Holy shit... it would kick ass if you recreated the Silent Hill map!!

I really, really want to play around with CAW, but not until AM is officially updated for it since I'll have to patch my game again.
