General Terms of Use:

+ Anything you do for personal use is totally fine by us! The world is your oyster! Have fun! (Lord knows we do enough of our own of that sort of thing!)

+ You may absolutely recolor the meshes on this site. Feel free to include our meshes with your recolors.

+ You may reuse portions of our textures, just pleasepleaseplease credit us. While we'd like to be individually credited, credit to just 'Club Crimsyn' will also work in a pinch. Alphas don't require any sort of credit at all.
If you do end up using parts of our textures, please feel free to drop us a PM here on Dream Width and let us know so we can stalk you check out your creation!

Please note the following exception: DO NOT use any parts of any our textures (including ones we originally released on TSR) as a base for an item you plan to upload to any paysite, including TSR!

+ Feel free to package our items with your sims/lots, but please no paysites (including TSR) and no Exchange! Credit is always appreciated.

+ Our sets marked 'TSRAA' are still available for use on lots on TSR.

+ Please do not clone or modify any of our meshes without permission. However, keep in mind that we're very welcoming of others converting our work for other age groups since we'd much rather spend our time making new goodies. Furthermore, we will almost always say 'yes' to whatever project you have in mind. Again, pleasepleaseplease credit us for the original mesh, and let us know what you've done; we like to keep track of what's out there.

TS3-specific TOU:

If you'd like to convert something of ours from TS2 to TS3, we now ask that you please contact us and ask before you do. It's best to either PM me here on Dream Width or GoS. gelydh can be reached via PM here on DreamWidth or GoS. We're horrible at checking our site email, so PM is definitely the way to go.

By contacting us to get the go-ahead on a conversion, we can let you know if it was something we'd already planned on converting ourselves. Furthermore, we have a lot of on-going projects at any given time which may or may not get previewed, so it's possible we've already started work on something anyway.

Secondly, if you're given the clear to convert, we ask that you clearly give us credit for the original creation on the same page as your TS3 download. I know conversions aren't exactly easy, but a lot of work went into making the original TS2 item as well. We're not asking for our names surrounded by blinking lights or an opera written about how fantastic we are, just something as simple as 'originally by aikea/gelydh/club crimsyn' would be great.

We don't want people to not convert our stuff, we'd just like to streamline things a little. We've always kept our TOU very open, so we hope that you'll do us the favor of respecting these changes. Also, this obviously doesn't affect those of you who are creating for TS2.

FAQ

+ Are you serious?
Doubtful.

+ Does this mean you've decided to throw off the dark, abysmal shroud of charging money for your custom content (which sucks, by the way)?
Sure, why not. To avoid any confusion, our decision to keep this site free has little to do with 'morals', even less to do with popularity, a lot to do with being fundamentally lazy, and most everything to do with really not giving a flying fuck anymore. It won't go 'pay' or 'donation' or whatever. We refuse to put ads on this site. :P The site does cost quite a bit to run, so we'll probably beg for donations once a year or so.

+ How often will you be updating?
That's difficult to say. We'd like to keep this as free from pressure as possible, so the amount of updates will vary greatly. If a creative mood strikes both of us at the same time, you'll see larger updates. If we're both in a creative funk, things may seem a bit sparse.

+ Do you take requests?
No.

+ Will you upload [insert Sim model/DP character here]?
No.

+ Where did you get…?
There are plenty 'Where Can I Find' places all across the internet, so we suggest you ask around there. We have issues keeping track of downloads, but you'll probably be able to find the stuff we've used in previews from sites on the Links page. Also, there's always the possibility that it's something made by us that we won't share, so don't be disappointed if that ends up being the case.

+ So, again... are you serious?
Honestly, do we seem serious? In any case, our 'dorky' far outweighs our 'dark.'

+ Aikea Guinea and Gelydh are one person, right?

+ What up with the weird categories on your TS2 objects?
Most of these objects were originally done for personal use. Since our decorative items categories are totally overflowing, we thought it'd be easier for us to find our stuff under electronics/whatever. It makes perfect sense in our heads. Feel free to change them if you know how to!

+ Are you seriously the same person??
