TS3 - Aikea Distressed
I have no idea if anyone's converted this yet, but I'm doing it anyway despite it being a serious pain in my ass to get looking right without being huge or weird or clippy. So far I've avoided 'huge' and 'weird,' and am now focusing on the 'clippy' bits.

(If I may rant for just a moment, one of my biggest pet peeves with most TS3 hairs I've come across is that they're huge. I don't need my sims to go around looking like they've spent the better part of an hour backcombing their hair.)

The preceeding pictures will get huge if clicked.

I need to do the various LODs and bone assignments still.

I'm having serious normals issues with this on lower LODs, so I'm putting it away before I throw my computer out the window. :/

Ooohh... this hair always looked a bit awkward for me in sims 2, but I think it's very cute for sims 3. Seems to fit their head a bit more. And I agree about the whole huge hair thing.

Not to mention I've noticed sometimes (Peggy in particular) a curly hair will get converted, but look like they stood out in the rain for an hour and lost all the curls. What's the point in converting a curly hair-do if you cut out all the curls!?

I love it Aikea, and hope to see more. :)

That's really pretty. I like the wispy bits sticking out from the braids - when my hair was long and I would braid it, it would look like that. The whole idea of bone assignments baffles me. I can't imagine what a pain that must be to deal with.

So true about the big hair - too many of those and my neighborhood would start looking like Lynnwood or Kent in the 90's. I'd be tempted to put not-found-in-nature blue eyeshadow on everyone.
