Just to set the record straight,

geldyh is NOT me, and is in NO WAY associated with either me, Aikea, or Club Crimsyn.

While I will say that I've had this username (first on LiveJournal) since 2005 and find it incredibly odd that someone would be involved in Sims 3 CC and be completely unaware of me, or at least Club Crimsyn, I have no desire to start a pissing contest with some random person over the internet.

This post is just to inform all you about this, to hopefully lessen the confusion this has apparently caused. Aikea and I are still creating things together (I just got home today from eating her food and drinking her wine, actually), I've just been incredibly distracted by the beast known as Real Life™.

Took a minute of looking at both names to figure out all they did was switch 2 letters.

I'd say it's deliberate, that they're trying to draw on the following you two have built up by using a name nearly exactly like yours.

Also, it appears that one of his link banners says "Gelydh." (AND his title.) Riiiight, he's not copying you—cool story, bro; wish I believed it. At least his work isn't identical to yours. :/

Yeah I noticed them when they first started uploading things (though quite clear by the look of the stuff that they aren't you). Probably doesn't help that people seem to mix up the tiny difference in name and refer to them with yours.

Odd how they claim to have learnt how to create on GoS (you know the forum where you're most visible) and yet there is no account in that name registered to the forum. Weird since they claim they have always used your username.

And yes the dw addy reverses two letters but then everything else on the site uses your username. It comes across to me as malicious. If they must use Gelydh as part of their name their are many was to make it obvious that they are not you they have not done that.

Hi I've been a big fan of you guys since I found this wonderful world of custom content for sims. And I was confused as well when I saw him on the "my sims 3 blog", I thought, "Oh yeah they've came out with new skins", and then I felt bad because I thought you and Akeia decided to part ways...so VERY glad that isn't the case. He/she however should be castrated and hung by their feet and poked with spears. That is all....

It's definitely NOT wierd, he/she is probably a crazy stalker fan of yours, or maybe he/she thinks by using your name he will get more downloads, I mean Club Crisymn and Gelydh, Akiea are synomous with quality.....so having said that, I know it's hard when someone bites your style...but that just means you're someone worth emulating.... brush your shoulders off...you guys are the shyt!!!!!

I just wanted to say, as a huge Tolkien and Sims fan, I've always loved your chosen pseudonym, and I think it's total bullshit someone wants people to believe his suspiciously similar username is just a coincidence. And I don't think said person has any idea where the name comes from, which is even more offensive to me as a Tolkien fan.

You were--honestly--the first Sims 2 CC-artists I've ever downloaded from. Anyone who has CC for Sims 2 & 3 should know who you are, or it's their loss.

It's pathetic that they've clearly tried to impersonate a well-known creator. If you want to get known around the community, work hard on your own creations and stop impersonating other, more talented creators.

I actually posted a (very polite!) comment on their blog about the similarity between your name and theirs, and not only did they delete my comment, they posted a pretty nasty entry about the whole thing.

Hopefully they'll lose interest and move along. Very irritating and disgusting.

Just wanted to tell you that I have an IMVU account. One that's older than they claim to be in fact! :P

Anyway I did a search and found someone with that name with a pretty new account and from Japan. Just FYI.
